Surya Mohini Charitable Trust was established in 1990 with the sole aim to work towards the upliftment of women, especially downtrodden and disabled. The trust started with two units by name of REACT and GRIHASTHI.

Rehabilitation Education and Creative Training
REACT works towards providing the rehabilitation, education & creative training to the young children and women so that they can be self reliant and live with self respect, GRIHASTHI provides them training as will as work to make them self reliant.

GRIHASTHI is an organization where women, especially the disabled and abandants are taught to make preservatives, jams, pickles, papads, masalas as well as tailoring, crochet, knitting & embroidery. They are also absorbed in the organization to prepare these items that are sold through various exhibition and with the help of KVIC (Khadi Village Industry corporation).
Women’s Political Forum
Women's Political Forum intends to change the visuals. It intends to bring about a change in the face of the present political scenario. The Forum believes that women can give voice to their hopes and aspirations through an active role in governance and politics. It provides training and support for capable and aspiring women who have a burning desire to serve the nation through politics. |
